The triumph improved the Rockets' home mark to 6-1 this season and kept UT in a second-place tie with Eastern Michigan (8-4, 4-2 MAC) and Northern Illinois (7-4, 4-2 MAC) in the MAC's West Division. The Rockets will host the Huskies tomorrow night at Savage Hall.

UT then appeared to be close to taking control of the match but let a 24-21 lead slip away in the third game as Marshall went on to win the game, 30-28. The Rockets dominated Game Four from the outset, by jumping out to an 11-4 advantage en route to their 30-22 win. In the fifth game, both teams traded points until the Rockets utilized a four-point run to take a 10-6 advantage and seize control of the game for the victory.
"I was pleased tonight with how we were able to pull out another victory," Toledo Head Coach Kent Miller said. "We were very flat starting out the match after our emotional loss to Notre Dame on Tuesday. But we received a lot of contributions from different people at key times that helped us win. The most important thing for us tonight is that we won, and we know we'll have to play very well tomorrow night against Northern Illinois."
Sophomore setter Carrie McCaw equalled her season high with 58 assists in the victory, and also shared the team dig lead with senior Kelly Burt with 13.
The Rockets recorded a season-high 14 blocks in the victory. In addition to Kretzmann, juniors Jessica Buck (six), Heidi Neumeister (five) and Bitsy Mayhle (five) each notched five or more.
