WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Toledo women's golf team moved up one spot in the final team standings and shot their best round of the tournament in Tuesday's final round of Purdue's Boilermaker Classic. The Rockets finished in 12th place after shooting a 311 today on the par-72, 6,411 yard Kampen-Cosler Golf Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.

Sophomore Rachel Mackinlay led the Rockets individually by tying for 53rd place with a 16-over par 232. Sophomore Valeria Lizcano finished two shots behind Mackinlay, finishing 60th with an 18-over par 234.

Sophomore Brooklyn Millard carded the Rockets' best round of the day with a four-over par 76 and tied for 66th place (238) along with freshman Alice Tonts.

"I'm really pleased with how we kicked off our season against what was a very strong field," first-year Head Coach Ali Green said. "There were a lot of encouraging signs and plenty of positives to build on. It was great to see transfer Rachel Mackinlay step up and lead the team. Freshman Alice Tonts showed a lot of promise as well with a strong second round. We're looking forward to using the next two weeks to sharpen our games and carry this momentum into the Inverness Intercollegiate."

Ole Miss captured the tournament title at two-under par 862, one shot in front of Indiana. The Hoosiers' Madison Dabagia earned medalist honors with a seven-under par 209.

Toledo will be back on the course in two weeks when it hosts the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 15-16 at the Inverness Club.
