Ali Green was hired as the women's golf coach at the University of Toledo on May 9, 2025.
A Cincinnati, Ohio native, Green is the fourth head coach in program history. She comes to Toledo after serving as an assistant women's golf coach for two years at Abilene Christian University (2023-25)Â as well as serving as the head coach at the University of Dayton from 2021-23.Â
Green played a key role over the last two years in helping ACU to runner-up finishes at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship in the program's first two seasons of competition. She also helped steer the Wildcats to four tournament titles and a pair of top-100 national rankings, including as high as No. 77 in the 2023-24 campaign. Individually, Ryann Honea captured WAC medalist honors in 2024 and finished as WAC runner-up this past season en route to a pair of NCAA Regional appearances. At Dayton, her teams produced seven top-five finishes, eight WGCA All-American Scholars and three all-conference honorees.Â
Prior to her stints in the collegiate coaching ranks, Green spent five years at the helm of the Lakota East (Ohio) High School girls' golf program, where she guided the Thunderhawks to three Top 10 state finishes.Â
On the amateur level, Green competed at the 2024 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship and has twice captured Ohio Women's Amateur titles (2019, 2021), as well as the Cincinnati Women's Mid-Amateur title (2019, 2020), along with the 2017 Cincinnati Women's Metropolitan Amateur title.Â
Â
Green graduated from Ashland University (Ohio) in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in education. She enjoyed a storied collegiate career with the Eagles, appearing in three NCAA Division II Championships and receiving first-team Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors on four occasions. Green earned medalist honors at the 2016 NCAA Super Regional with a school-record three-under par 213 after capturing the 2016 GLIAC Championship title in a playoff by firing a GLIAC Championships-record five-under par 67 in the final round.Â
Green and her husband, Robby, reside in Temperance, Mich.
