ARDEN, N.C. – The Toledo women's golf team concluded its fall season on Tuesday with an eighth-place finish at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational. The tournament hosted by UNC-Asheville at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove was marred by inclement weather with Monday's play suspended less than halfway through the opening round.
Sophomore
Valeria Lizcano and freshman
Alice Tonts led the Rockets by tying for 22
nd place at 14-over par on the par-72, 7,020-yard course.
Tonts registered UT's best round of the tournament with a five-over par 77 in Round One.
Toledo will open its spring season on Feb. 10-11 at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Â
