TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo Head Women's Golf CoachÂ
Jenny Coluccio announced on Tuesday that
Valeria Lizcano (Bogotá, Colombia) will transfer to the University of Toledo from the University of North Florida. Lizcano sat out as a redshirt this past season with the Ospreys and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

"We are excited to welcome Valeria to our family this coming fall," Coluccio said. "She is a good addition for our program with lots of energy, a hard worker who possesses experience at the college level. Valeria is hungry to team up with our returnees and pick up where our seniors have left off."

Lizcano posted a 74.67 stroke average on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour in 2022. She posted a second-place finish at the Disney Summer Junior Open and a third-place showing at the Mid-Season Invitational at LPGA Daytona Beach. Lizcano's other top performances were winning the 2022 Abierto del Club Militar and the 2022 Abierto Ciudad de Cúcuta. She was also runner-up in the 2023 Copa Donovan y El Tiempo.

Lizcano graduated second in her class with outstanding academic performance honors from The Victoria School in Bogotá. She is joining incoming freshmen
Brooklyn Millard (Aurora, Ohio) and
Emily Young (Tecumseh, Ont.) as part of Toledo's 2024-25 recruiting class.
