TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team will put its four-game winning streak to the test on Saturday at home vs. Ohio.
The Rockets (10-3, 3-0 MAC) and Bobcats (4-9, 1-2 MAC) will tip off at 2:00 p.m. in Savage Arena on ESPN+.

Toledo is coming off an 82-55 win vs. Western Michigan at home on Wednesday. Four players scored in double figures in the win, with
Sophia Wiard's 18 points leading the way. The Rockets trailed 40-36 with 6:08 to go in the third quarter before back-to-back three-pointers from Wiard sparked an offensive outburst that lasted the rest of the game. The second of Wiard's consecutive threes gave Toledo a 42-40 advantage, and UT would not trail WMU again. Toledo outscored Western Michigan 46-15 over the final 16:08 of game time and shot 68.2% from the floor, connecting on 15-of-22 shots.
Wiard shot the ball well on Wednesday, making 5-of-7 shots from the field and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc while knocking down all four of her free throw attempts.
Sammi Mikonowicz collected her first double-double of the year, scoring a season-high 13 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.Â
Soleil Barnes had a huge night, scoring a season-best 13 points while going 2-of-3 from three-point range.
Khera Goss joined her teammates in double figures with 12 points.
Sophia Wiard Approaching Two Major Records
Few players in program history have played as much basketball as
Sophia Wiard. She enters Saturday's game tied for second all-time in games played (136) with Andola Dortch (2010-14) and Yolanda Richardson (2009-13) and ranks second in career minutes played (4,178). Rockets' great Naama Shafir owns both records currently, having played 4,218 minutes and appeared in 139 games at Toledo.

- The Rockets are an incredible 32-4 at home since the beginning of the 2021-22 season and have won 15 straight MAC home games.
- Toledo is averaging 4,523 fans per game this season, first in the MAC and 26th in the nation. UT has led the MAC in attendance for 32 straight seasons and has ranked in the Top 30 nationally in 10 of the last 11 seasons.
- The Rockets have held opponents to fewer than 50 points four times this season and have held opponents to fewer than 60 points in each of the last four games. They rank atop the MAC in scoring defense (57.85) and are one of two teams allowing fewer than 60 points per game, the other being Kent State (59.23).

- Hannah Noveroske is averaging 1.54 BPG, which ranks third in the MAC. She has blocked a season-best three shots on three occasions this year, most recently at Miami.
About Ohio
Ohio is 4-9 overall and 1-2 in MAC play, its lone conference win coming vs. Akron on Jan. 3. Jaya McClure leads Ohio in scoring at 14.6 PPG, but has missed the last two games. Kennedi Watkins is the Bobcats' next-highest scorer at 9.6 PPG. Defensively, Ohio does a good job of limiting three-pointers and forcing turnovers. OU ranks second in the MAC in three-point field goal percentage defense (27.5%) and steals (10.85/game).
