TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team begins its 2025-26 season at Troy on Monday, Nov. 3. The Rockets will tip off against the Trojans at Trojan Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
 
The Rockets will begin their second season under Head Coach 
Ginny Boggess. Toledo finished second in the MAC (13-5) with an overall record of 24-9, reaching the MAC Tournament championship game and the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament. Troy finished 24-14 (13-5 SBC) and reached the WNIT championship.
 
Toledo and Troy will begin the third season of the MAC-SBC Challenge. The Rockets hold a 4-0 record overall in the challenge, with victories over James Madison, ULM, Marshall and Old Dominion.

Opening Tips
	- Toledo was picked second in the Mid-American Conference preseason poll, receiving two first-place votes and three votes to win the MAC Tournament.
 
	- Junior Kendall Carruthers earned a Preseason First Team All-MAC pick, having averaged 11.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game last season.

Rockets in the MAC-SBC Challenge
	- Toledo is 4-0 in the MAC-SBC Challenge, which began in the 2023-24 season.
 
	- The Rockets have pulled off impressive comebacks in those victories, erasing a 21-point deficit at JMU in 2023 and a 16-point lead against Marshall in 2024.
 
	- Toledo most recently won a tight contest at Old Dominion, 56-52 last season.
 
	- The Rockets will host a Sun Belt opponent on Feb. 7 at Savage Arena. Opponents will be determined based on NET rankings.
 
Series History – Tied 1-1
	- Toledo and Troy have played in two neutral matchups, with Troy winning 71-64 at the Holiday Hoops Classic in 2019, and the Rockets winning 70-62 at the Cherokee Invitational last season.
 
	- In last season's matchup, Toledo took a nine-point lead after the first quarter, before Troy took an 11-point advantage in the third quarter. Toledo outscored Troy, 31-12 over the final 11:42 of the game.
 
	- Toledo displayed its strong rebounding in the 2024 contest, with a 50-38 rebounding advantage.
