Rockets Fall to Troy in Season Opener

Evalyse Cole scores career high 12 points to lead Toledo

TROY, Ala. – The Toledo women's basketball team fell to Troy, 88-51 in the 2025-26 season opener at Trojan Arena on Monday.

The Rockets (0-1) fell behind early after double-digit runs by the Trojans (1-0) in the first and second quarters. The Trojans built up a 52-33 lead at halftime and extended the advantage to as much as 28 in the third quarter, which was too much for the Rockets to overcome.

Troy outshot the Rockets 46.7%-35.7% and won the turnover battle, 28-20.

Quoting Head Coach Ginny Boggess
"Credit to Troy for coming ready. This is a tough place to play for a reason. The have a great basketball team, a very veteran basketball team. Our youth showed tonight. I've got to have us more ready to go with our personnel and more connected on offense and find lineups that can be disciplined enough to execute what we've been working on."
