TOLEDO, Ohio – Freshman Mia Natividad shot a one-over par 73 to lead the Toledo women's golf team in Tuesday's final round of the Glass City Invitational. As a team, the Rockets shot their best round of the tournament today with a 307 to finish in 10th place at the par-72, 6,218-yard Inverness Club.

"I think the tournament overall was a success for us," Head Coach Jenny Coluccio said. "We improved from round to round as a team against a tough field on a very difficult golf course. That's really motivating for us moving forward."

Natividad was steady nearly the entire round and was at one-under par until bogeying two of her final four holes. She tied for 43rd place in the individual standings with a 17-over par 233.

"This was a huge success for Mia," Coluccio said. "She played textbook golf and was really on point from tee to green today. Her lag putting and speed control was a big key and she played like a senior would with calmness and confidence in herself."

Senior Amelia Lee posted the Rockets' top finish of the tournament by tying for 37th place at 14-over par 230. Her tournament was highlighted by a one-over par 73 in the opening round.

"Amelia is so stoic on the course and trusting of herself," Coluccio said. "She has the ability to lean into that on any stage. It doesn't matter who she's playing against or what course she's playing on."

The remainder of Toledo's lineup included senior Angel Hii (49th/235), senior Macy Hanus (T-53rd/238), and junior Kyleigh Dull (T-62nd/244). Senior Kaitlyn Natividad led the four Rockets' individuals by tying for 56th place at 240.

Florida captured the tournament title with a 54-hole total of four-over par 868, six strokes in front of second-place Virginia. The Cavaliers' Amanda Sambach earned medalist honors at eight-under par 208, four shots in front of her nearest competitor.

Toledo returns to action in two weeks when it hosts the Rocket Classic at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 9-10.
