TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team announced its 2023 schedule today, with first-year Head Coach
Mark Batman making his official debut in a road contest at UIC on Aug. 17.
The Rockets' home opener is set for Thursday, Aug. 24 vs. Loyola Chicago, followed by a matchup at Paul Hotmer Field with 2022 NCAA Sweet 16 team Northwestern on Sunday, Aug. 27. There are eight home games on the schedule, with the MAC home opener coming on Sept. 21 in the Battle of I-75 game vs. Bowling Green.
 Toledo will head up to Detroit Mercy on Sept. 3 before hosting Oakland the following weekend (Sept. 10), and then closing out non-conference play at Southern Indiana on Sept. 17.
The remainder of UT's home slate includes home games vs. Central Michigan (Oct. 1), Akron (Oct. 8), Eastern Michigan (Oct. 12), and Kent State (Oct. 22). The Midnight Blue and Gold will visit Northern Illinois (Sept. 24), Ball State (Sept. 28), Ohio (Oct. 5), Miami (Oct. 15), 2022 MAC Champions Buffalo (Oct. 19) and WMU (Oct. 26).
The top six teams in the conference standings will extend their season into the MAC Tournament, which begins campus sites starting with quarterfinals on Sunday, Oct. 29. The semifinals are scheduled for Nov. 2 and the final set for Nov. 5.
The Rockets will hit the field for the first time in an exhibition matchup at Wright State on Sunday, Aug. 6 before hosting Horizon League semifinalist IUPUI on Sunday, Aug. 13 for another exhibition game.
