TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team (3-4-6, 0-3-4) rallied to tie Ohio (3-7-5, 1-3-4 MAC), 1-1 at Paul Hotmer Field on Sunday afternoon.
The Rockets trailed 1-0 after the 27th minute on an Ohio goal off a corner kick. Toledo held within a goal until freshman Ella Zoerhoff netted her first career goal to even up the score in the 81st minute.
Ohio held the advantage in shots 15-7 and shots on goal 8-5, but shots evened out in the second half, 4-4. Corners were tied at four apiece with both goals resulting from corner kicks.
QUOTING HEAD COACH MARK BATMAN
"I think we made some good adjustments in the second half. We were trying to get that second goal and we had some chances in the second half. I'm very happy with some kids getting shifts and getting some opportunity in the last couple games. No complaints for effort in the second half, we just need to find a way to do that for 90."
