TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo volleyball team fell to defending Mid-American Conference champion Ohio 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17) on Saturday in Savage Arena.
Junior S Alex Hines had her second-consecutive strong all-around game, tallying a double-double with 21 assists and 12 digs. Hines also added two kills.
On the offensive end, four players recorded at least four kills, led by senior MB Brooke Frazer with seven.
Freshman RSH Saige Thomas accumulated five kills, while sophomore OH Alyssa Ehrhardt and freshman MB Rachel Vidourek each had four.
The Rockets were limited to a .045 attack percentage in the match, and were led by freshman MB Kelli Mattson at a .750 clip, earning kills on three of her four attacks.
Freshman libero Lauren Bakaitis led the Midnight Blue & Gold with 13 digs on the defensive side.
The Bobcats posted an impressive .252 attack percentage as a team, and tallied five total serving aces in the match as well.
Senior OH Kelly Lamberti was a force in the match, recording a match-high 13 kills, while junior libero Meredith Ashy and sophomore DS Brooke Coleman each had double-digit digs with 16 and 12, respectively.
The Rockets are back in action with two road conference matches on Thursday-Friday, Oct. 23-24. Toledo will take on Miami on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Bowling Green at the same time on Friday.
