1. As you look around the defense this year, you don't see too many fellow seniors. Does that put extra pressure on you to perform and lead?

Yeah, I feel like it does. I'm a fifth-year senior and I've played a lot of games. I try to lead by example. I know that some of the younger guys that are coming in might be looking at me to see how I do things.

2. How would you say you've grown as a person and as a player in your four years at UT?

I feel like I've matured. I've been through a lot and I've definitely learned a lot. I feel like I came in as a young man and I will leave as a man.

3. The secondary really seemed to jell last year, especially as the season went on. What accounted for the improvement?

We just started working more together. And when Patrick (Body) moved to free safety I think it gave us better chemistry.

4. Did you ever feel like the secondary was getting unfairly pointed at last year as a weaker part of the defense?

Yeah, I felt that way sometimes. But that's part of the game.

5. You're fifth in career interceptions at UT with 11. What's the secret to knowing when to go for the interception and when to lay back?

I guess it's a combination of getting a good break on the ball and if the pass isn't quite perfect. If those two things happen I'll take a shot at an interception. It's an instintive reaction.
