1. You are one of the leaders in the MAC in steals. What makes you such a good defensive player?

I think my speed and quickness play a big part and I enjoy playing defense. I like trying to shut people down and I look at it as a challenge.

2. What are some of the fun things you like to do off the court when you're not playing basketball?

I like spending time with my friends and joking around. I like having fun with my teammates and playing jokes on them.

3. You were a good football player in high school. What did you like about the sport and why did you decide to play basketball

I liked playing defense and giving out hits. I also liked returning kickoffs. I could have played football in college but I didn't like playing outside in the cold weather.

4. Your grandfather, Mel, was one of the best football players at Toledo and had a great career. What impact did he have on your life?

He's one of the the reasons that I came to Toledo. I wanted to keep it in the family and play in front of them. I had his No. 33 in football in high school and he taught me a lot about life.

5. Were there any other factors that made you want to stay close to home?

I get homesick too quick. I consider myself a mama's boy and I wanted to stay close to my family and friends. I'm very happy with the way things turned out.

6. What's your favorite subject in school and why?

I would say American History because it's something I know a lot about. I also like to learn more about how and why things happened in this country.
