1. Your name can be pronounced a couple of different ways. Once and for all, how do you pronounce your last name?

If it is for a basketball game, I like it to be pronounced HOO-ghin-dam just because it sounds neater. If anyone came up to me right now how to pronounce it I would say HOE-ghin-dam.

2. Being 6-3, you are taller than most females. When did you start your growth spurt and what is it like being taller?

I have always been taller than most females. As far back as I can remember even back in grade school I was much taller than the rest of the kids in my class.

3. What is the difference between basketball in Canada and here in the United States?

Growing up in Canada, basketball just wasn't as competitive as it is here. Down here, you have better fan support, but at the same time there is a lot more pressure from the media.

4. You went through a pretty rough stretch this past December when you contemplated quitting the team and giving up basketball. As everybody knows you decided to stick it out and you are now playing as well as anyone in the MAC. How did this change come about?

I felt like I was being put down a lot by the coaches and I didn't handle it well. It came to the point where either I was going to be done and kind of go through the motions, or I was going to have to make a decision to keep working harder and get better.
