Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Toledo baseball team fought hard in a back-and-forth contest with Michigan, but fell in the late innings to the Wolverines, 6-4 at Ray Fisher Stadium on Tuesday.
Â
The Rockets (5-10, 1-2 MAC) took the lead in the seventh, but Michigan (9-6, 2-1 Big Ten) put together a four-run rally in its half of the seventh and held off a ninth-inning Rocket rally for the victory.

Quoting Head Coach Rob Reinstetle
"I'm proud of the way we fought for nine innings today. It was super tight for the entire game. After they took the lead in the seventh, we gave ourselves a chance in the ninth to do some damage but just couldn't get it done. This young season has had a lot of games where we've played well, but not good enough to win it. We need some guys to step up and make some things happen for us on offense."
