TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball program will play both Michigan and Bowling Green at Fifth Third Field, home of the Toledo Mud Hens, for the third-straight year in 2026. Toledo will face Michigan on April 14 at 6:30 p.m. and Bowling Green in the Battle of I-75 on May 12 at 7:00 p.m.
Â
The program's strong partnership with the Mud Hens, the triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, has allowed the Rockets to compete in one of Downtown Toledo's premier venues.
Â
"We're excited to return to Toledo's Fifth Third Field for two games this season," said Head Coach
Rob Reinstetle. "Widely regarded as one of the premier minor league stadiums in professional baseball, it's a privilege to play in such a top-tier venue. Our partnership with the Mud Hens organization continues to be a highlight, and our players always look forward to the electric atmosphere. Every time we take the field there, we're met with incredible support. Northwest Ohio and the City of Toledo have shown a true passion for college baseball—and we can't wait to be back in front of those amazing fans."
Â
The matchup with Michigan marks the third-straight year that the Rockets have hosted the Wolverines at Fifth Third Field and the fourth-straight year that the programs have faced off overall. The Rockets will also take on Michigan in Ann Arbor on March 17.
Â
The Rockets' May 12 matchup against the Falcons will be the fourth and final game of the 2026 season between the archrivals, with a weekend series slated for April. The Fifth Third Field matchup will be the only contest this season not treated as a Mid-American Conference game. 2026 marks the sixth-straight year that Toledo will play Bowling Green at Fifth Third Field.
Â
Recent Fifth Third Field games against Michigan and Bowling Green have drawn large crowds, including 1,373 fans for Michigan in 2024, and over 2,000 fans through the gates in each of the last two Battle of I-75 matchups against the Falcons.
Â
Toledo's full 2026 schedule will be announced at a later date. Tickets will be available through the Mud Hens' ticket office at a later date.
