Toledo enters the week having won three of its last four games

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team begins its 2024 Mid-American Conference journey on Thursday against Kent State before closing the week in the Battle of I-75 at Bowling Green. Thursday's kickoff from Paul Hotmer Field will be at 7:00 p.m. while Sunday's contest down the interstate will begin at 1:00 p.m. Both contests will air on BCSN and be streamed on ESPN+.
 
The Rockets are coming off a 3-0 home win vs. Ohio Dominican on Sunday. The Rockets got goals from junior Alli Macbeth, graduate student Dalaney Ranallo and freshman Cameron Cole.
 
The Rockets are looking to improve on a 4-6-1 conference record in 2023, a three-win improvement from 2022. Toledo is 2-1 at home and 1-2-1 on the road and holds a +2 goal differential entering the week.

Finding Goals in the Final 45
  • Toledo has scored seven of its nine goals this season in the second half. Two of the Rockets' three tallies were scored in the second half in Sunday's victory.
  • The Rockets have also scored three times in the final 15 minutes, including Alli MacBeth's 78th-minute game-winner at Oakland on Sept. 8.
Rockets' Defense Stout Through Non-Conference Schedule
  • The Rockets' defense enters Thursday with consecutive shutouts for the first time this season. Toledo is giving up 1.0 goals per game, improving by half a goal per game from 2023 thus far.
  • Toledo is allowing 4.29 shots on goal per game, down from 6.61 a year ago. The Rockets have allowed four shots on target or fewer five times this season.
  • Sunday's shutout was junior goalkeeper Agnes Stenlund's 10th of her collegiate career. She has three this season, tied for third-most in the MAC.
Of Note
  • Seven different players have scored on the nine goals for the Rockets this season. Four of the nine have come from freshman – two from Gabrielle Anulare and one each from Cole and Morgan Spitler.
  • The Rockets have scored first in four consecutive games and are 3-1 in that stretch.
  • Macbeth has put away two game-winning goals, tied for second-most in the league.
  • Senior Chloe Tadolini's three assists are tied for seventh-most in the MAC.
