TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo seniors Cassie Alcala and Julia Kuszynski received their first Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday. The duo has won its last five matches together and is 5-0 against MAC opponents this spring.

Alcala and Kuszynski went 2-0 from the top court against Miami's Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek/Nishitha Saravanan (6-4) and Bowling Green's Lucy Furness/Hannah Neuman (6-3) to help Toledo clinch both doubles team points over the weekend. The doubles points were the beginning of a 4-3 win vs. the RedHawks on Friday and a 7-0 sweep to capture the Battle of I-75 with the rival Falcons on Sunday and keep Toledo undefeated at 6-0 in MAC play this year.

Toledo (13-4, 6-0 MAC) will host Northern Illinois this Friday, April 12, and visit Eastern Michigan on Sunday, April 14.
