TOLEDO, Ohio - University of Toledo Head Men's Golf Coach Jeff Roope announced the addition of Rasmus Gross (Gothenburg, Sweden) to the Rockets' program on Wednesday. Gross will attend the University of Toledo beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.

Gross has represented Sweden six times internationally as a member of its junior national team and registered 10 top-five finishes during his 2024 tournament season. Highlighting Gross' results is a tournament title at the Svenska Juniortouren Division 1 #6 Småland with a four-under par 209 (71-68-70). He also registered runner-up showings at the Italian Junior Classics with an 11-under par 205 (68-69-68) and at the Bogogno International Junior Open with a two-under par 142 (72-70). Gross also competed in the R&A Boys Amateur Championship in 2023 & 2024 and made it to match play on his first try.

"We are happy for Rasmus and his family and look forward to having him join the Rockets next season," Roope said. "I had the chance to see him play in British Boys a couple of years ago and was really impressed with his fight and determination as he was closing in on the cut-line for match play.  We're looking forward to him making an immediate impact next season.  He's an athletic player, is outstanding in the classroom, and as our players can attest to after meeting him, he's simply a good guy too."
