TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team will look to qualify for the 2024 Mid-American Conference women's soccer tournament when the Rockets host Ball State for the regular-season finale on Thursday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. on ESPN+, the same time as all MAC matches on Thursday.

The Rockets (6-7-4, 3-4-3 – 12 pts.) are tied for eighth place with Central Michigan in the conference standings, just one point out of a tournament spot. Toledo holds the tiebreaker over CMU based on goals allowed in conference play, having given up just nine compared to 13 for the Chippewas. Toledo fell 2-0 to first-place Western Michigan on Thursday, but picked up a key point in a 1-1 tie at Northern Illinois on Sunday off

The Cardinals (7-8-2, 2-6-2 – 8 pts.) are eliminated from MAC Tournament contention. They fell 3-1 to Northern Illinois and 5-4 to Western Michigan last week.

Toledo must move up two spots to qualify for the MAC Tournament. The Rockets will qualify if the following three results occur:
- A Toledo win + a Northern Illinois loss/tie
- A Toledo win + a Miami loss/tie
- A Toledo win + a Kent State loss
The Rockets can also qualify with any of two of the three above results, AND by remaining ahead of Central Michigan.The following results will keep Toledo ahead of CMU:
- A Toledo win + a CMU loss/tie
- If both teams win, but Toledo wins by more goals
- If both teams win by an equal margin, and Toledo allows three goals or fewer
