BUFFALO, N.Y. – The divers from the Toledo women's swimming & diving team opened the 2023 portion of the season at UB's Diving Invitational Friday morning at the Alumni Arena Natatorium. Sophomore Kassie Gutierrez led the way for the Rockets with an 11th place finish on the one-meter board.

Gutierrez scored a season-best 243.60 in the prelims (12th) to advance into the finals, where she finished 11th overall with a score of 236.90.

Junior Ryli Harden also scored a season-best 226.25 in the prelims, while freshmen Anne Bartlett and Amanda Dosey also registered personal-best marks. Bartlett scored a 213.70 and Dosey recorded a 158.80 in her first collegiate competition.

Toledo competed against divers from host Buffalo, along with Akron, Bowling Green, Duquesne, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, and St. Bonaventure.

Competition will continue with the three-meter board on Saturday morning, starting at 11:00 a.m.
