Stephanie Sherman Takes Fourth in 5000m at Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. - Senior Stephanie Sherman finished fourth in the 5000m Friday night to highlight the Toledo track & field team's efforts on the first day of the Joe Walker Invitational at the University of Mississippi.

Sherman finished the race with a personal record time of 16:15.79. Junior Faith Linga came in seventh in the 5000 after finishing with a time of 16:40.54.

Sophomore Emily Vining placed sixth in the 3000m steeplechase and set a personal record time of 10:15.81.

Four Rockets competed in the first five heats 1500m run. Sophomore Lou Trois won her heat and led Toledo overall in 14th place, after clocking a time of 4:25.45.

Saturday's action begins at 11:00 a.m. with field events, and running events following at 3:00 p.m.
