West Lafayette, Ind. - Toledo freshman diver Joelle Gallais faced stiff competition on day one of the NCAA Zone C Diving Meet hosted by Purdue. Gallais finished the 3m portion 43rd out of 51, scoring 224.35 points through six dives.

"Overall it was a great experience diving three meter today," Gallais said. "I will definitely use it as a stepping stone for the years to come."

Gallais returns to the boards tomorrow along with fellow freshman teammate Sydney Jackson to take on the 1m event. Competition starts at 1:00 p.m. and live scoring can be followed on Dive Meets.
