Toledo dropped a road contest at Ball State on Halloween night and lost at home to Akron last weekend.
The five-setter at Ball State was one of the longest matches in recent memory for the Rockets. The final set of the night ended at 23-21, far and away the longest fifth set in program history since the NCAA switched to rally scoring in 2001. Fourteen ties scores and six lead changes highlighted the epic final set of the night and there were 10 match points before Ball State tallied the game-winner.
In Saturday's match against the Zips, Zoe Birnbrich tallied 10 kills and three blocks while hitting .400. Chloee Kleespies led the team with 12 kills and five blocks. Rhyen Neal recorded a match-high 23 digs and Megan Beasley added 28 assists. Liz Beasley set a new career high in kills with nine.
