TOLEDO, Ohio - Senior forward Nate Navigato has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Navigato's honor marks the first time he has earned the weekly accolade in his UT career and the second straight week a Rocket has received the award.

Navigato led Toledo to a pair of double-digit victories last week by averaging a team-high 18.0 points to go along with a team-best 61.9 field-goal percentage (13-of-21) and 62.5 three-point field-goal percentage (10-of-16). He also dished out 4.5 assists per game and grabbed 1.5 steals per game.

Navigato connected on a season-high tying five three-point field goals in eight attempts in both wins over North Alabama and Cleveland State.  He also dished out a season-high six assists and moved into second place on UT's career-three-point list against the Lions. Navigato, who now has 249 career treys as a Rocket, ranks second in the MAC and 15th nationally with a 53.2 three-point FG%.

Navigato and the Rockets (7-1) conclude a three-game homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 5 vs. Detroit Mercy. Tip-off time for the contest is set for 7:00 p.m. in Savage Arena with streaming available on ESPN3.
