Marla Gooding (1-1) suffered her first loss of the season (7.0 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K). Toledo then dropped its second matchup against Houston 8-0. With the defeats, UT drops to 1-6 on the season.

The Rockets struck first as Showalter hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Showalter scored freshman INF

In the top of the seventh, the Cyclones finally made their comeback. After an RBI single by Cappaert, McFarland drilled a three-run homer to center to plate two additional Cyclones.
In the second game of the day, senior OF Jessica Lemiuex led the Rockets going 2-for-2 on the night. Junior OF
Celeste Fidge (1-for-2) notched the only other Toledo hit of the contest.
Houston got on the board first with a two-run homer and an RBI single at the bottom of the first inning.
