TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo softball program had five student-athletes named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Eli Enriquez,
Sidney Griffith,
Eliza Maloney,
Madison McKay and
Kendra VanderLugt earned the academic honor. Enriquez, Griffith and VanderLugt were named to the All-District Team for the second time while Maloney and McKay are first-time honorees.
Griffith and VanderLugt graduated in May 2024. Griffith earned her degree in human resource management with a 3.955 GPA while VanderLugt graduated with a degree in early childhood education and a 3.968 GPA.
Enriquez carries a 3.797 GPA as a management major, Maloney has a 4.00 GPA as a health sciences major while McKay boats a 3.949 GPA as a speech language pathology major.
VanderLugt will move to the ballot for Academic All-America. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 17, 2025.
The 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes nominees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
