Toledo Continues Five-Game Homestand on Tuesday vs. Red-Hot Loyola Squad

QUICK HITTERS
•   Toledo (5-6) looks to carry over the momentum from Saturday's convincing 78-56 victory over Southeastern Louisiana when it hosts a red-hot Loyola (IL) squad that has won five straight games on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Tip-off time from Savage Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being streamed live on ESPN3.
•   The Rockets have tied a school record with a nation-high five overtime games this season. UT has a 2-3 win-loss mark in its OT contests with wins over Youngstown State (Nov. 15) and Evansville (Nov. 25) and losses against Middle Tennessee (Nov. 26), Green Bay (Dec. 3) and Marshall (Dec. 10).
•   Toledo's five overtime games are one more than Eastern Washington's total of four. Eastern Kentucky, FIU and Seattle are tied for third in the nation with three OT contests.
•   Senior guard Jonathan Williams paced UT against Southeastern Louisiana with 24 points, marking a career-best fourth straight 20-point outing. During this stretch, Williams is averaging 25.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 3.8 apg with a 45.1 FG% and 43.3 3PTFG%.

•   Taylor, who sat out Saturday's win over SE Louisiana due to injury, ranks fifth nationally with 11.8 rpg (through Dec. 18) and leads the country with 10.1 defensive rpg. Taylor's eight double-doubles are tied for third in the nation.
•   Sophomore guard Jaelan Sanford is also scoring in double digits for UT with 12.8 ppg and is leading the team and ranks 16th nationally with a MAC-best 36.5 mpg.
•   Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk is in his seventh season at UT and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He has guided the Midnight Blue and Gold to a 103-71 (.592) win-loss mark over the last six years, including back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
•   Toledo was on the road for six of seven games in November and is playing five of its six December contests in Savage Arena.
•   Loyola has split its two road games with a 79-77 loss at North Carolina State (Nov. 26) and last Saturday's 81-75 (OT) victory at UIC. The Ramblers rank sixth nationally with a 51.9 FG% and are 17th for fewest personal fouls per game (15.6).
•   Junior forward Aundre Jackson and senior guard Milton Doyle are pacing the Ramblers offensively with 16.3 and 15.2 ppg, respectively. Jackson ranks fifth nationally with an impressive 74.3 FG%.
