QUICK HITTERS
•  Toledo (4-6) begins a season-high five-game homestand on Saturday, Dec. 17 when it hosts Southland Conference member Southeastern Louisiana (6-4). Tip-off time from Savage Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being streamed live on ESPN3.
•  The Rockets have tied their school record with a nation-high five overtime games this season, including Saturday's 111-105 (OT) setback at Marshall. UT has a 2-3 win-loss mark in its OT contests with wins over Youngstown State (Nov. 15) and Evansville (Nov. 25) and losses against Middle Tennessee (Nov. 26) and Green Bay (Dec. 3) in addition to its setback to the Thundering Herd in its most recent outing.
•  Toledo's five overtime games are one more than Eastern Washington's total of four. Eastern Kentucky, FIU and Seattle are tied for third in the nation with three OT contests.
•  Senior guard
Jonathan Williams paced UT against Marshall with 28 points, one shy of the career best that he registered vs. Detroit Mercy on Dec. 7. Senior forward
Steve Taylor Jr. tallied a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds vs. the Thundering Herd for his eighth-double-double of the season.
•  Williams is leading the Rockets with 19.0 ppg, with Taylor averaging 16.8 ppg, a MAC-best 11.8 rpg and a team-high 3.9 apg.
•  Taylor ranks fourth nationally with 11.8 rpg (through Dec. 13) and leads the country with 10.1 defensive rpg. Taylor's eight double-doubles are tied for first nationally with Washington State's Josh Hawkinson, Louisiana's Bryce Washington and Memphis' Dedric Lawson.
•  Sophomore guard
Jaelan Sanford is also scoring in double digits for UT with 12.6 ppg and is leading the team and ranks 14th nationally with a MAC-best 36.6 mpg.
•  Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk is in his seventh season at UT and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He has guided the Midnight Blue and Gold to a 102-71 (.590) win-loss mark over the last six years, including back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
•  Toledo played just one home game in the month of November. The Rockets were on the road for six of seven games in November and will play their next five contests in Savage Arena.
•  Southeastern Louisiana is 5-0 at home but 1-4 on the road. The Lions' five victories in November were the most in program history.
•  Senior guard Marlain Veal paces SLU with 15.1 ppg and 4.3 apg with junior guard Davon Hayes scoring 13.1 ppg with a team-best 48.8 3PTFG%.

POST-GAME NOTES FROM UT'S 111-105 (OT) LOSS AT MARSHALL
• The Rockets' 105 points were the second-most points Toledo has scored in a defeat. UT lost to Central Michigan, 109-107, in five overtimes on March 4, 1978.
• The 216 points scored by Toledo and Marshall are tied for second most in a game in school history, trailing only the 224 points scored in a 136-88 Rocket win over Hillsdale on Dec. 2, 1967.
• Toledo's 53.4 FG% was a season high, just barely ahead of its 52.6 mark vs. UNC-Wilmington.
• UT tallied season highs for points in a 1st half (44), points in a 2nd half (49) and 2nd-half FG% (57.6).
• Marshall's 44 first-half points and 60.7 first-half FG% were season highs by a UT opponent.
• The Rockets' 11 treys, 28 three-point field-goal shots and 39.3 3PTFG% were season highs.
• Marshall's nine treys and 47.4 3PTFG% were the highest by a UT opponent this season.
• Senior guard
Jonathan Williams moved into an 18th-place tie with Bob Gerber (1939-42) on Toledo's all-time scoring list with 1,319 career points.
• Senior forward
Steve Taylor Jr. has scored in double digits in all 10 games this season and he is tied for the national lead with eight double-doubles.
• Sophomore forward
Nate Navigato scored a season-high 14 points to give the Rockets seven different individuals who have scored in double digits this season.
• Redshirt freshman center
Luke Knapke posted his third double-digit scoring outing with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting. He is averaging 6.6 ppg with a team-best 63.4 FG%.
• Senior center
Zach Garber tallied season highs for points (7) and assists (2).
• Junior guard
Lucas Antunez registered season highs for points (3), free throws made (3), free-throw attempts (4) and minutes played (17).

ON THE HORIZON
               The Rockets continue their season-long five-game homestand on Tuesday, Dec. 20 when it hosts Loyola (IL) (9-2) on Dec. 20. Following a brief holiday break, Toledo will host NAIA foe Ohio Christian (5-8) on Dec. 30 before opening MAC play vs. Buffalo (5-5) on Jan. 3 and Miami (5-5) on Jan. 7.
