TOLEDO, OH – Toledo volleyball fell by a 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 14-25) margin on Saturday evening at MAC East Division foe, Buffalo (2-12, 1-1 MAC). The Rockets drop to 3-12 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
UT's attack was led by junior OH
Mary O'Connor who tallied 11 kills and sophomore OH
Saige Thomas who added 10. Freshman RSH
Carly Townsend notched nine terminations and freshman MB
Gracey Tuifua had seven.

Alex Hines who had 12. At the net, Hines led the team with seven blocks with Tuifua and sophomore OH
Annie Beasley adding four apiece.
The Rockets came out strong in the first set but found themselves behind 13-8. UT rallied back to even the score at 15 and maintained its intensity to win the set 25-20.
Both teams entered the second set with aggression. Neither squad held more than a two-point lead until the Bulls started to pull away at 18-15. The Rockets only scored four out of the last 16 points and watched Buffalo walk away with a 25-19 victory. UB held Toledo to a -.025 attack percentage as a team.
Set three was a battle that saw 10 tie scores. The two squads met at 23-23, and the Bulls managed to notch two terminations in a row to win the set 25-23.
The Midnight Blue & Gold struggled offensively in the final set, posting a .075 ATK% (9-6-40) en route to a 25-14 loss
UT returns home for its next two MAC matchups. The Rockets take on Western Michigan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 and then face Northern Illinois at 5:00 p.m. the following day.
