TOLEDO, OH - The Rockets offense exploded for a 13-6 victory over Bowling Green on Wednesday afternoon at Scott Park. Toledo sophomore Corey Tipton launched his first collegiate homer in the bottom of the fourth to be one of five UT batters with two RBI in the seven-run victory.

Freshman hurler Alex Wagner earned his third win of the season as the southpaw tossed five innings and gave up four runs on six hits. The Brighton, MI native allowed just one walk and struck out two BGSU batters.

Sophomore Steven Duby tossed two scoreless innings in relief while freshman Nolan Silberhorn and junior Kevin Kline came on to close out the eighth and ninth innings, respectively.

Freshman slugger Dalton Bollinger was 4-for-4 at the dish with a pair of RBI to lead the Rockets at the dish. Freshman A.J. Montoya (1-for-4), junior Deion Tansel (2-for-5), and senior Nate Langhals (2-for-3) joined Tipton with two RBI a piece.

The barrage of the Toledo runs began in the bottom of the first inning as the entire Rocket lineup got their shot at Bowling Green starter Jevon Boyd. UT tallied six runs in the bottom half of the stanza including two RBI a piece from freshmen A.J. Montoya and Dalton Bollinger

The runs kept on coming for the Toledo in the bottom of the second as they tacked on two more after a Nate Langhals single through the left side.

The Falcons cut the lead to 8-1 in the top of the fourth but the Rockets responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning. Tipton's two-run bomb down the left field line sent UT to double digits for the first time this season. Junior Deion Tansel would drive in another pair of runs with his seventh double of the season.

BGSU would go on to score five more the runs but the deficit was too much to overcome as Toledo earned its spilt of a home-and-series with the Falcons.

The Rockets return to action this weekend as they travel to Athens, OH for a three-game series at Ohio. First pitch on Friday is slated for 6:00 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday's games will begin at 3:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.
