QUICK HITTERS
•  Toledo (6-3) returns to Savage Arena for just its third home game of the season and the start of a four-game homestand when it hosts Oakland (5-3) on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. with the contest being streamed on ESPN3.
•  UT's matchup with the Golden Grizzlies marks its fourth consecutive meeting against a Horizon League opponent and its fifth this season. Toledo will also face first-year Horizon member Northern Kentucky on Dec. 30. The Rockets are 3-1 against Horizon foes with wins at Youngstown State (100-78) on Nov. 18, vs. Cleveland State (76-65) on Dec. 2 and at Green Bay (71-69) on Dec. 6. Toledo's lone defeat came by a 75-72 margin at Detroit on Wednesday.
•  Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk is in his sixth season at UT's helm and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He possesses a 91-81 record on the Rocket bench, including an 87-53 (.621) win-loss ledger over the last five years.
•  Kowalczyk has guided Toledo to a share of the 2013-14 Mid-American Conference regular season title in addition to a piece of the 2012-13 MAC West Division title.
•  Junior Jonathan Williams scored a team-high 22 points and senior Nathan Boothe tallied his fourth double-double (16 pts.-11 reb.) of the season in Wednesday's loss to the Titans. Detroit's 13 treys marked a season high for a Rocket opponent which proved to be too much for UT to overcome.
•  Williams and Boothe are the Mid-American Conference's top two leading scorers with 20.1 and 19.2 ppg, respectively. Boothe also ranks second in the MAC with 9.4 rpg and third with a 2.3 assist/turnover ratio. Sophomore Stuckey Mosley is scoring in double digits as well at 12.6 ppg and ranks second on the team with 6.1 rpg and 3.6 apg.
•  Toledo ranks 18th nationally with its MAC-best 1.59 assist/turnover ratio, 30th for fewest turnovers per game (10.7) and 38th with 17.0 apg.
•  Oakland, which is picked to finish second in the Horizon League this season, has won four of its last five contests with its lone defeat an 86-82 at Georgia on Dec. 1. The Golden Grizzlies are one of the highest scoring teams in the country, ranking 15th with 86.8 ppg and 26th with a 40.6 three-point field-goal percentage.
•  Junior point guard Kay Felder leads the nation with 9.3 apg and also ranks 10th with 23.4 points per game. Senior forward Max Hooper is second in the nation with 4.25 treys per contest and has a 46.6 accuracy rate from long distance.
