Head Coach Stan Joplin
"I thought our effort was good but we kind of panicked a little bit down the stretch. We had them where we wanted them, but we just didn't capitalized. When you play a good team like this on the road you have to make those plays. Kansas just has a very good team."
(on being surprised about Kansas blocking shots)
"Not really after watching some of their games earlier this season. If they're going to block shots against Florida, they're going to block them against us. We tried to use our perimeter play as much as possible, but when we got the ball to the basket they rotated over and blocked our shots."
Senior forward Keonta Howell
(on Kansas' height advantage affecting the offense)
"It didn't affect us running our offense. It became a factor when we thought we had a good shot and someone came out of nowhere block it. Usually our guards get the basket and can finish but today it was a lot harder to do."
(on playing better defense in the second half)
"We wanted to put a little more pressure on the ball and stop their high-low plays in the second half. They hurt us with that in the first half and we were able to do a better job in the second half."
