TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's basketball team will play its lone exhibition game prior to the start of the 2025-26 campaign when it visits the University of Findlay on Sunday, Oct. 19. The contest vs. the Oilers will tip off at 3:00 p.m. at the Croy Physical Education Center.
Ticket prices for the exhibition are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and can be purchased online at
findlayoilers.com beginning on Friday morning or at the door on Sunday. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will go to Hope House in Findlay.Â
The Rockets will be visiting Findlay for the sixth time in the last nine years. Toledo has a 4-1 win-loss mark in those contests with wins in 2019 (75-68), 2021 (83-78), 2022 (100-88), and 2023 (95-70) and an 89-86 defeat in 2017.
"October is a long month for our players and there's not a lot to look forward to with practice after practice," Kowalczyk said. "We are absolutely ready to face someone else and excited to go down to Findlay. Every time we've gone down there, we've been tested. It's really helped our season and led to championships virtually every season we've been there. Findlay is a great program that is well-coached with a lot of players back. I'm looking forward to seeing our guys in a game situation."
Junior guardÂ
Sonny Wilson ranked second on the team last year with 15.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 3.2 apg and is Toledo's lone returning starter. Sophomore guard
