TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Justin Ingram scored 13 points to lead Toledo to a 67-55 victory over Ferris State on Saturday night.
Sammy Villegas also had 10 points for the Rockets (4-2), who outrebounded the Bulldogs 35-27 and forced 22 turnovers.
Terrance Shaw led NCAA Division II Ferris State (5-3) with 15 points. Dennis Springs and Antwuan Holt scored 13 points apiece.
Allen Pinson hit a 3-pointer and converted a layup in an 11-0 run that gave Toledo an 18-7 lead with 11:30 left in the first half.
The Rockets shot 50 percent from the field to take a 35-25 lead at halftime.
Ferris State's Julius Vines scored midway through the second half to cut the lead to 49-45 but Toledo pulled away from there. Ingram made a 3 to give the Rockets a 64-53 advantage with 4:15 remaining.
Ingram finished 3-of-5 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Kashif Payne had six assists for the Rockets.
