OXFORD, OH - Toledo (8-12, 5-6 MAC) let a nine-point halftime lead slip away to Miami (10-12, 7-4) this afternoon as the RedHawks registered a 64-54 victory over the Rockets.
Sophomore guard Terry Reynolds (22 pts.) and junior guard Nick Moore (18 pts.) paced the Rocket attack by combining for 40 of Toledo's 54 points.
Moore came out on fire in the first half by scoring 16 of the team's first 27 points to help the Rockets to a 33-24 halftime advantage.
Reynolds then picked up the slack by tallying 17 of his 22 points in the second stanza, including Toledo's final 10 points of the game.
Keying the Miami victory was an 11-0 run which gave the RedHawks a 43-40 lead with 12:21 to play in the game.
The Rockets never regained the lead after that but did close to within 52-50 with 5:52 left on Reynolds' fourth three-pointer of the game.
Chester Mason scored 19 points and Alex Shorts added 18 points off the bench to lead Miami's offense.
Sophomore guard Keith Triplett hauled down a game-high 10 rebounds for the second highest board total in his Rocket career.
Toledo returns home to Savage Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 13 to host Akron (8-14, 4-7 MAC). Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
