Recap| Final Stats| Notes

Head Coach Stan Joplin:

"It was a tale of two halves and they kind of had their way with us in the second half. Miami did a nice job coming back and you have to give them a lot of credit. We're not going to win too many games with only two players in double figures."

"We've lost four or five games like this. It happens when you have a young team that doesn't know what it takes to put a game away. Our go-to guys are on the perimeter and Miami's is a fifth-year senior in Alex Shorts. We need some more production on the inside because if we have a balance it really helps our shooters on the perimeter."

"Miami plays pretty good defense like always and we're not going to win many games with the type of production we got up front."

Terry Reynolds:

"Our defense and rebounding beat us in the second half. We're having a lot of unforced turnovers like dropped passes or bad passes. We just have to take care of the ball better especially in the second half because that's when it counts."

On being in foul trouble:

"Being in foul trouble really didn't affect me because I think if I play hard and am in the best position I can I'll be okay. I don't want to let my teammates down by not being aggressive. If I ever do foul out, my teammates will have to step it up."

On having leads in games and ending up on the short end:

"We need to finish games better when we're up. We need to have a killer instinct and not let teams stay in the game."

On Chester Mason:

"Mason rebounded well on the offensive glass and we talked about that before the game and at halftime. We needed to keep boxing him out but he got some key offensive rebounds and put them back for scores."

Nick Moore:

On being a two-man team:

"I never come into a game thinking we're a two-man team. I like to think we're going to have other people contribute but tonight it just so happened we didn't get that. I've said before to our team usually when we have three or more guys in double figures it's a lot different ballgame."
