TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Junior guard Keith Triplett scored 21 points to lead four players in double figures as Toledo (5-3) beat Detroit (3-2), 80-72, on Saturday to extend its homecourt win streak to 12 games.

The Rockets shot 62.8 percent (27-of-43) from the field and 70 percent (14-of-20) from three-point range. It was the second straight game UT shot over 60 percent from both the field and behind the three-point arc.

Toledo started the second half on a 14-3 run to take a 56-41 advantage with 13:26 to play. Detroit cut the lead to 71-68 with 4:15 to play on a layup by Willie Green, but junior forward Ricardo Thomas hit a three-pointer for Toledo to make it 74-68. Green hit another layup, but Triplett made two free throws to push the lead back to six and the Titans (3-2) could get no closer.

The Rockets fell behind early in the contest as Detroit used a 12-3 run to take a 27-14 lead with 10:23 to play in the first half. UT then outscored the Titans the rest of the half, 28-14, and never trailed after taking a 33-32 lead 3:32 before halftime.

Green led Detroit with 32 points. Elijah Warren had 13 and Terrell Riggs had 11.

Other Rockets scoring in double figures were senior guard Nick Moore with 19, redshirt freshman guard Sammy Villegas with 15 and Thomas with 12.

Toledo will be idle until Saturday, Dec. 21 when it hosts Arkansas State at Savage Hall. The contest will be part of a doubleheader with the tip-off coming at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Rocket women will battle Hampton in the first game beginning at 5:00 p.m.
