TOLEDO, OH - Toledo dropped the opener of its four-game MAC series with arch-rival Bowling Green by a 14-5 margin at Scott Park.

The Rockets fell behind early as the Falcons jumped out to a 7-0 lead to chase starter Shawn Wilson (3-4) in the top of the fourth inning.

UT attempted to rally though and clawed back with a run in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Sophomore SS J.D. Foust accounted for the Rockets' first run with a one-out RBI single in the fourth.

In the fifth, senior LF Andy Stetka hit a two-run homer and freshman C Mitch Maier clubbed a solo shot to bring the Rockets within 7-4.

But BG answered back with a single tally in the sixth and six in the seventh to secure the win.

Brett Baumgartner (2-2) earned the win for the Falcons by allowing seven hits and five runs in 6.1 innings.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow in a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader in Bowling Green. The series finale will take place on Sunday, April 22 at Scott Park at 2:00 p.m.
