Final Stats

TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo women's soccer team suffered its fourth-consecutive loss Sunday with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kent State at rainy and cold Carter Field. The loss drops the Rockets to 5-7-1 overall, 4-4-1 MAC, while the Golden Flashes improve to 4-8-0 overall, 3-5-0 MAC.

"Despite the end result, I thougth our kids played hard," Toledo head coach Brad Evans said. "We really sucked it up and played through some difficult conditions. We were able to generate some scoring opportunities for ourselves, especially in the second half, but we weren't able to capitalize on them."

Kent State's Bethany Sanker tallied the games only score at 27:13 of the first half off an assist from Lauren Covay.

Toledo was outshot by Kent State, 12-8. Junior Elise Donovan made two saves in goal for the Rockets, while Kent State's Melissa Glyptis shut the door on UT and turned away four shots.
