Toledo (4-7-1, 3-4-1 MAC) knocked off Mid-American Conference co-leader, Miami University (7-5-0, 5-2-0 MAC), today with a 1-0 blanking at DeVilbiss High School's Celtic Stadium. The shutout was the Rockets' second in their last three games.
Sophomore Corrie Hasenjager netted the game's lone goal late in the first half at the 40:17 mark. Hasenjager, who leads the Rockets with 11 goals, received the ball following a deflection off a RedHawk player and rifled the shot from 35 yards out into the top right corner of the net.
Toledo outshot Miami by a 17-10 margin, with junior Elise Donovan recording six saves for the shutout.
The Rockets will return to action again on Friday, Oct. 13 when they host Ohio University at 4:00 p.m.
