Assistant coach Chris Clark enters his second season working with the women's tennis program. Clark graduated from Toledo in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Clark had a successful run as a four-year letterwinner on the men's tennis team. He compiled 79 singles victories and a 64-34 doubles record. During his playing career at UT, Clark received All-MAC recognition in both 2007 and 2008. He was named UT's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman in addition to winning the team's Co-MVP award. Clark served as a team co-captain during his senior season, and after his graduation, worked with the men's team as a manager.

A Battle Creek, MI native, Clark began participating in USTA competitions since the age of nine. He qualified for Boy's National Clay and Hard Court singles in the 12, 14 and 16-year old age brackets. Clark has also worked to start a tennis clinic for under-privileged children in the Battle Creek area.

"Chris has been such a positive addition to our team," said Tracy Mauntler, UT's head women's coach. "He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to strategy, and he has a done a great job sharing his knowledge and passion for the game with the players. Recruiting talented players is also another one of his strengths, and he has done a great job on the recruiting trail for us this summer."
