Jone Ibanez and Gaby Rondon earn Academic All-MAC for the second-straight season
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team placed five student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC Team for the 2026 season, the league office announced on Monday.
Jone Ibanez and Gaby Rondon earned the award for the second-straight season. Ibanez owns a 3.619 GPA as a bioengineering major while Rondon posts a 3.769 GPA as a marketing major.
Neha Guru, Annika Munson and JJ Scholten are first-time honorees. Guru owns a 3.954 GPA in business, Munson has a 3.911 GPA in biology and Scholten tallies a 3.884 GPA as a neuroscience major.
To qualify, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher academic standing, have maintained a 3.20 GPA or higher and competed in 50% of contests during the 2026 season. Freshmen and transfers in their first year at a MAC institution are not eligible for the award.
