Toledo Picks Up ITA All-Academic Team Honors for Sixth-Consecutive Season

All nine Rockets named ITA Scholar-Athletes as team collects 3.873 GPA
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team posted a 3.873 grade-point average throughout the 2025-26 academic year to earn the ITA All-Academic Team award for the sixth-straight season. In addition, all nine Rockets received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for their academic performance during the season.
Jone Ibanez (3.72) and Gaby Rondon (3.90) earned their third ITA academic honors of their careers. Neha Guru (4.00), Annika Munson (4.00), Catherine Rhegness (4.00) and JJ Scholten (3.81) were second-time honorees. Anastasia Akuginova (3.68), Isabella Barretto (3.92) and Iva Jankovic (3.80) were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete team for the first time in their careers.
The Rockets posted a 3.861 team GPA in the fall term, the second-highest mark in the department. The squad then tallied a 3.885 team GPA in the spring following their 2026 MAC Tournament Championship to lead the entire department.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade-point average of 3.2 or better, when factoring all letterwinners into the cumulative grade-point average for the current academic year. ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
