Rockets are the highest-ranked program in the MAC
TOLEDO, Ohio – TennisRecruiting.Net announced its annual mid-major recruiting class rankings on Friday, and the Toledo women's tennis team is ranked No. 25 nationally. The Rockets are the highest ranked Mid-American Conference team.
Head coach Tracy Mauntler is welcoming one freshman from this year's high school recruiting class. Emerson Jones is the program's first five-star recruit and is ranked 37th in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) 18U rankings and is second in the state of Michigan.
"To be ranked in the class of mid majors with only one incoming freshman says a lot about Emerson (Jones) and the respect she has as a player," said Mauntler. "We can't wait to have her join our special team."
The rankings only include high school recruits. The Rockets will also welcome transfer student-athlete June Vigneron from Louisiana Tech to the team next season.
The newcomers will join the 2026 MAC Tournament Champion Rockets squad that boasted seven underclassmen during their championship run.
