2008-09: Competed four times in 1000 and 1650 freestyle...Finished fourth in 1650 free against Bowling Green... Also swam seven times in 200 breaststroke, finishing in season-best 2:31.43 against Eastern Michigan.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Centerville... Was a three-year letterwinner... Qualified for states during her sophomore and junior year... Swam personal bests in the 500 free (5:10.34), 200 breast (2:25.94) and 100 breast (1:07.78).
Personal: Born Sara Carson Castilano in Kettering, OH on July 26, 1989... Daughter of Charlie and Barb Castilano... Has two sisters (Amy and Beth)... Served as a volunteer to the Special Olympics and the Miami Valley Hospital... President and founder of the “Show Me Your Cans” recycling club... Chose Toledo because of its strong science programs and the team camaraderie... Pre-med major.
