2009-10: First Team All-MAC...Part of MAC champion 400 free relay and 800 free relay teams...Helped set school record and NCAA "B" time in 400 free relay with a time of 3:21.77...Runner-up in 200 IM and hit NCAA "B" time in 100 breaststroke, placing fourth...Also swam in 200 breaststroke at MAC, finishing 5th with an NCAA "B" time of 2:16.43...Two-time winner in 200 free and won once in the 200 IM during regular season...Recorded 26 top-five finishes during regular season competing in six different events.
2008-09:Finished sixth at MAC Championships in 100 breaststroke and 200 IM...Time of 1:02.74 in 100 breast is third- fastest in school-history...Also competed in 200 breaststroke at MAC, finishing 14th in 2:19.65 (eighth in school history)... Member of 200 free relay team that took third at MACs with a UT record time of 1:32.33...Part of 800 free relay that finished third with a UT record time of 7:16.95 at MACs...Also member of 400 free relay that finished fourth with a UT record time of 3:23.83...Took third in 50 free and second in 100 and 200 free against Oakland...Swam season-best 53.13 in 100 free and 1:52.75 in 200 frees at Eastern Michigan Invitational...Won 200 free in 1:53.24 against Bowling Green...Had seven top-three finishes in 200 free...Won 500 free in season-best 5:06.66 against Ball State.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls... Earned seven letters in swimming (four) and golf (three)... Inducted into the high school’s hall of fame... Earned MVP honors during her sophomore and junior years... Was the sectional champion in the 100 free and placed fourth at states in 2007... Qualified for states in 2006... A two-time breaststroke sectional and district champion, 100 free district champion and a state qualifier.
Personal: Born Kelsey Louise Atchison in Madison, IN on June 26, 1989... Daughter of Tom and Cathy Atchison... Has one brother (Kyle)... Enjoys shopping, listening to music and hanging out with friends... Majoring in education.
