2008-09: Placed fifth at MAC Championships in 50 freestyle with season-best time of 23.42, third-best in UT history... Member of 200 free relay team that also took third at MACs with a UT record time of 1:32.33...Won 50 freestyle in time of 24.81 against Ball State ... Had seven other top-three finishes in 50 freestyle...Season-best time 54.47 in 100 freestyle against Michigan.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Fremont Ross... Earned seven varsity letters while competing in three sports... A four-year letterwinner in swimming under head coach Phil Moran... All-American in the 50 and 200 free during her senior year... Part of the All-Ohio 400 free relay in 2008... Set the district record in the 200 free relay and finished third at states in the 50 free in her final season... Earned All-Ohio honors in the 50 free after an eighth place finish at states during her junior year... All-Ohio honors in the 500 and 100 free during her sophomore season... Was the 2006 District Champion in the 50 free and finished third at states... Was on the volleyball and track teams.
Personal: Born Jacqueline Nicole Fate in Fremont, OH on May 23, 1990... Daughter of David and Donna Fate... Is the youngest of three children (brother Josh and sister Jenny)... Chose Toledo for its “good speech program and excellent swim program”... Has been a lifeguard... Majoring in speech-language pathology.
