Troy Sudbrook breaks program single-season doubles record with 24th double of the season

The Rockets (18-24, 13-9 MAC) trailed 2-0 after two innings, but surged back, taking the lead in the fourth, 4-2 with a three-run frame. However, the Falcons (16-24, 9-13 MAC) tied the game with a three-run home run in the fifth, before the winning two-run long ball was hit in the sixth. The Falcons then extended the lead with another two-run home run in the eighth.

Offensively, freshman Liam Arsich came within a single of the cycle, hitting 3-for-4 on the day with a walk and solo home run. He reached base in all five plate appearances. Junior Troy Sudbrook hit 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Sudbrook marked his 19th multi-hit game of the season in the effort. Junior JP Wagner hit 2-for-5 on the day, his fourth multi-hit bit of the season.

Sudbrook's fourth-inning double put him at 24 for the season, breaking Toledo's single-season doubles record.

Senior starter Nathan Leininger pitched 4.2 innings, with five runs allowed and five strikeouts on the day. Nate Langbehn (1-2) took the loss, with four runs allowed in 3.1 innings.

- The Falcons struck for two runs in the second on an RBI single and a hit by pitch. A flyout ended the inning with the bases loaded.
